Drop a Word, HTML, or Markdown file into templates/. Add {{ placeholders }} where content changes. That’s a working template — no form builder, no configuration file.

2. Claude Interviews You
Tell Claude to “prepare a [document type] with CoQuill”. Claude finds the template and walks you through a natural conversation — skipping irrelevant sections, letting you answer in any order, and collecting lists with an “add another?” flow.
3. Get Your Document
Confirm the collected values and the finished document is rendered to output/ — Word, HTML, or Markdown with an optional PDF, plus a transcript of the entire interview.
Talk, Don't Type
Claude interviews you through a conversation, not a form. Answer in any order, point to a photo instead of typing, change your mind mid-way. Ambiguity gets clarified, not rejected.
Templates You Already Have
Use Word, HTML, or Markdown files — no proprietary format, no vendor lock-in. Add {{ placeholders }} where content changes. If you have existing documents, you may already have templates that work.
No Interview to Build
In other tools, writing the template is half the work — then you build the form separately. CoQuill reads your template and generates the interview automatically. Add a variable, the question appears. Remove it, the question disappears.
Your Files Stay Local
Templates and output live on your machine. No cloud uploads, no SaaS account, no subscription. Share your setup with a colleague by zipping the folder.
Built-In Audit Trail
Every session saves a human-readable transcript and a structured interview log alongside your document. See exactly what was asked, what was answered, and what ended up in the final output.
